Loretta Blancett, 56, of Homewood, Alabama who resided in Harrison, Tennessee, died on February 4, 2016.
Her parents, Joseph T. and Julia G. McQueen, and a sister Gale McQueen preceded her in death.
Loretta grew up in Homewood, and attended Homewood High School. Loretta had previously worked for UAB and MidSouth Design and most recently worked for Wright Brothers and Murray Construction Companies. Among her many hobbies, working in her yard was her favorite.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Kenny, her sons, James S. Irwin (Melissa), and Daniel Pendley (Becky); Daughters, Danielle Keaton, Tracey Pendley, Beth Blancett (Ed), Carmen Forsythe (Joey), and Brittany Blancett; siblings, Julia Adale McQueen, and Joseph Tipton McQueen Jr. Loretta was "Nanny" to 15 beautiful grandchildren whom she adored.

Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10. The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Minister Jerry Clements officiating.
