Freedoms Foundation Award Ceremony Is Held

The Chattanooga chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge held its annual national award ceremony on Saturday, at the Harrison Ruritan Club.

The Distinguished Citizen and Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Fred Rees Skillern and Judge Clarence Shattuck, Jr.

The Student National Outstanding Essay Awards were presented to LeBreshia Mary Alexis Pactor of Red Bank High School, Emma M. Beach of Central High School, Jordan R. Sylar of Silverdale Academy, and Isabelle Kaneza of Collegedale Academy.

The Spirit of '76 Award was presented to Dr. Valerie C. Rutledge.
