The children at Signal Centers, 109 North Germantown Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37411, will again be guessing which team will win the Super Bowl, with hopes of predicting the winner for the ninth straight year. The annual Super Bowl tailgating party will be on Friday, from 9:30–11:30 a.m. The children have used the same method each year by picking a helmet of the team they think will win, and to date, are undefeated.
Physical and occupational therapists from Stellar Therapy Services will also be setting up therapeutic stations such as an obstacle course, kick a field goal, smile and pose for the camera, eat treats, and possibly even dabbing. Each activity encourages both gross and motor skills.
The event is held each year on the Friday before the Super Bowl with the children wearing their favorite team’s jersey. After the event, the children are treated to their favorite tailgate snacks.
“Signal Centers’ children love this event,” said Donna McConnico, Signal Centers CEO. “Our celebration includes play, tailgating, exercise and activities, but also includes our students in the national conversation around Super Bowl 50. All these things mean fun, natural social engagement and physical activity – the perfect recipe for a great Super Bowl!”
