Judge Tom Greenholtz Is The Most Qualified - And Response

  • Friday, February 12, 2016

I urge all of the voters of Hamilton County to vote to keep Judge Tom Greenholtz as Hamilton County Criminal Court judge.  Judge Tom Greenholtz is, by far, the most qualified and dedicated candidate for this office.

Since his appointment by Governor Haslam, Judge Greenholtz has already improved the operation of the Court, expanded the reach and the positive impact of Drug Court, and earned the overwhelming respect of lawyers who practice in Criminal Court.

Before his appointment, I had the privilege of working with Tom for nearly a decade.  I’ve never worked with a more knowledgeable attorney.

Tom’s personal story is inspiring and humbling.  Choosing not to be a victim of his circumstance, Tom distinguished himself with hard work, leadership, and his intellect. His outstanding law school performance led to his appointment as clerk to the Chief Justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Tom has been dedicated to our community through service to the Orange Grove Center, the Chambliss Center for Children, the Community Foundation, and many other organizations.  His dedication has prepared his service as Criminal Court judge.

In the Republican Primary, please vote to keep Judge Tom Greenholtz Hamilton County Criminal Court judge.

* * *

I have worked with Judge Tom Greenholtz for many years as a colleague in the legal profession.

Knowing Tom eliminates any question about Governor Haslam’s selection of him for Hamilton County Criminal Court. Tom has tremendous knowledge and insight based on experience in the law.  His work ethic is unequaled, and that has served his clients, his firm and the profession with excellence.  Tom’s character and demeanor of respect, seriousness and fairness to everyone are exactly what is required for this Court.

While some may have spent time working for name recognition or political  connections to run in a political race, Tom has been serving the public for years without publicity through his tireless work at the Orange Grove Center (currently as president) and the Chambliss Children’s Center.  Tom has been a public servant long before he began serving in public office—this confirms for us that his words and deeds match on and off the campaign trail.

I gladly voice my support and will cast my vote for Judge Tom Greenholtz.  I ask that you do the same.
