Edna Salmons
Edna Ann Hollaway Salmons, 86, of East Brainerd, died on February 10, 2016 at a local hospital.
Born Dec. 18, 1929, to the late Leon and Mary Hollaway, she was a 1948 graduate of Chattanooga High School where she was a talented pianist.
She retired from the UTC Lupton Library after 30 years of service and also had worked at local banking institutions in the area.
A faithful and longtime member of Tyner Church of Christ, she loved the Lord and loved her Tyner family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas L. Salmons, well-known singer and soloist in the Chattanooga area.
Survivors are her daughter, Marsha Lynn Salmons, Chattanooga; son, Robert D. (Robin) Salmons, Douglasville, GA; sister, Mary Alice (Donald) Hilbert, Louisa, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 2:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Minister John Cupp officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Martin-Boyd Christian Home.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 12-2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
