The MOMentum Network, a nonprofit program supporting single moms in college and their children, invites the community to join them in support of single moms who have overcome major challenges to graduate from college.

On Friday, The MOMentum Network will host its third community celebration for single mothers who have completed TMN’s Summit Leadership Development program while earning their college degrees. The celebration will be held at EPB at 10 W Martin Luther King Blvd in Chattanooga from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday. For more information or to RSVP, contact Cara at 423-521-0071 or Cara@TheMomentumNetwork.org.

Two Summit Scholars are graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga; Tamya Favors graduates with a bachelor of science in engineering, minoring in business administration and Maryclair McDonald graduates with a bachelor of science in operations management.

“It took incredible strength and sacrifice to reach their goals, but these moms never gave up,”  MOMentum Founder Cara Hicks shared.  “Not only are they getting a degree and moving on to make their mark professionally, they’ve lived out an example of tenacity and perseverance in front of their children. They are an inspiration to us all."
