Jimmie Earl “Pirate” McClendon, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 in a local healthcare facility.
He was born and raised in Chattanooga and attended the Chattanooga Public Schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James McClendon and Luetta McClendon Boswell; grandparents, Walter and Willie Maude Sparks and Sammie and Ollie Thornton; brother, Lance Boswell.
Survivors include his sisters, Georgia Williams of Bronx, NY; Willie McClendon, and Johnnie (Bernard) Owens; brothers, Larry Boswell, Author McClendon, Johnny Boswell, Anthony Boswell, and Harrison Boswell, all of Chattanooga.
He will lie in state after noon on Friday, Dec. 9, at Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at Forest Hills Cemetery.
