Police Blotter: Tire Thieves Hit Rossville Boulevard Business

Police said tire thieves hit a Rossville Boulevard business in an overnight raid.

At 4300 Rossville Blvd., someone stole brand-new tires off five racks.

There were 10 or more tires on each rack.

The total loss may be over 50 new tires.

The thieves apparently threw the tires over a fence after getting inside.

At Belk's at Hamilton Place, a loss prevention specialist said she caught Diamond Jones and Latrese Fluellen stealing shoes.

The specialist was hit in the face by Ms. Jones.

The two were charged with theft under $500.

An officer heard a loud noise behind a building at Acorn Oaks Circle. It sounded like two vehicles colliding.

A white Honda Accord came out from behind the building with front bumper damage on the right side.

The officer found rear left bumper damage to a parked Honda Pilot.

Elizabeth Gregory, driver of the Honda, denied striking another vehicle. She said it was old damage.

A woman said her red 1997 Honda Accord was stolen from her residence on E. 48th Street.

She had left the keys in the vehicle.

A resident of N. Moore Road said his 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse was again stolen from his place.

In the first case, someone came inside and got the keys. The vehicle was found a few blocks away.

He said after the first theft he installed "The Club" but it didn't help.

At the Delta Express on Brainerd Road, a woman walked out with a case of Corona.

She was described as a black female in her mid-40s.

The beer thief got into a white van with no registration.
