Gerald Dewayne Ball, Jr., 26, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in a local hospital.
He was employed as a teacher with Kinder Day Care and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, both in Nashville. He was a member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy and Henry Simmons, and Barbara Ball.
Survivors include his mother, Gladys Ball; father, Gerald Ball, Sr.; stepfather, Charles Clark; grandfather, James Ball, all of Chattanooga; brothers, Shane Allen of Paducah, KY, and Jewell Allen of Lompoc, CA; sisters, Tiffany Lamb and Shawna Clark, both of Chattanooga; Taloundria Ball of Knoxville; and Divivica Wade of Paducah; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 9, from 6:30–8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Dec. 10, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Michael Wade as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
