Margaret Allis, 89, died on November 12, 2016.

She was born on Dec. 26, 1926, at home in Luzerne County, the daughter of David and Ruth Strunk.

She married the love of her life, Claude, on April 2, 1946, and they had 57 years together until his death in February, 2002. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Iddings, her sister and four brothers.

She is survived by her sons, David (Patricia) of Soddy Daisy, Tn., and Barry of Tampa, FL, five granddaughters, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was of the Methodist faith and a 50-year member to the Rome chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

After retirement in 1986, she and Claude lived in Sun City Center, FL, where they enjoyed going on cruises and playing golf. She remained there for several years after his death. She then lived in Tennessee with her son, David, until moving to assisted living at Lifecare in Dayton. During her two years at the center, she made good friends, participated in many of the activities, and especially enjoyed the outings to theatre productions.

She had so much faith in her saviour that she knew she would be reunited with her husband and daughter in the Lord's house.
