Grace Frank Group at Real Estate Partners is working with Adamson Developers to build a new construction neighborhood consisting of 25 homes in Brainerd off Midland Pike across from East Henderson Drive.

The new neighborhood will be named Mapp Estates in honor of the local civil rights leader James R. Mapp, will be affordable ($165-$180k) and energy efficient (EPB SmartBuild), and will be located in the Woodmore elementary school zone. It is the first new construction neighborhood in Brainerd in at least 15 years.

There will be a groundbreaking and tree planting celebration event planned on Thursday, at 2 p.m.
Jon Mapp, James' son, and Mayor Andy Berke will be in attendance.
