Upon graduation, Connell plans to continue her education and pursue a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and her career goal is to work with veterans.
Connell is the recipient of numerous scholarships including the Helen and Vernon Crawford Scholarship, awarded to students who plan to continue in post-secondary education after receiving their GED® diploma, and the Catoosa Citizens for Literacy Scholarship.
Rachel Tootle, another nominee for the EAGLE award, was named a county representative. She will serve for a year as an ambassador for the Gordon County Campus Adult Education Center in an effort to encourage other adults to take advantage of educational opportunities.
