Garden Plaza Of Greenbriar Cove Resident Wins Regional Christmas Card Contest

  • Tuesday, November 29, 2016

Scott Leach, a 76-year-old resident and artist at Garden Plaza of Greenbriar Cove, is being featured on nationally-distributed Christmas cards this year.

Mr. Leach’s painting of a sled carrying a Christmas tree was the winner of an annual Christmas card contest run by parent company Century Park Associates, and its affiliate company, Life Care Centers of America.

Nine designs were chosen – eight representing each of Life Care’s geographic divisions, one representing Century Park.

The cards have been printed and are currently being distributed to communities and regional offices throughout Century Park and Life Care.

“I tried a couple of different ideas, and this was the one I liked best,” said Mr. Leach. “I was excited for sure, and it was hard to believe that I’d won out of all those people.”

A Chattanooga native, Mr. Leach has a bachelor’s degree in art education from UTC. He taught art in Chattanooga public schools until retiring in 1996. He and his wife, Judy, moved to Greenbriar Cove in 2014, and he continues to share his talents through teaching painting classes for residents and community members.

Garden Plaza of Greenbriar Cove is at 4586 Forsythia Way. For more information, call 423-396-5100.
