Glenn Westbrook
Glenn Arthur Westbrook, 93, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Lantern on Shallowford Road.
He will be greatly missed by friends who he met with a large smile and a friendly out stretched hand. He was a member of Wesley Memorial UMC and sang bass his whole life in the choir.
He always said his life began when he met his wife, Rosemary. They married in 1946, and had a wonderful marriage for 67 years. He and Rosemary had a love of music that continued to flourish after their meeting as singers in the First Presbyterian choir in Knoxville. He graduated from UT Knoxville with a master’s degree in Psychology. He was a plant manager at 3M Company and retired there.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Westbrook in 2010 and his wife, Rosemary Fry Westbrook in 2015.
He is survived by his daughter, Jan Gamble and Marnie (Bob) Martin; daughter-in-law, Milissa Westbrook; grandchildren, Marc (Darla) Gamble, Scott ( Jamie) Gamble, Lindsey ( Joseph) Woody and Megan ( Dustin) Lyness; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Erin, Olivia, Jacob and Abigail Gamble, Blake and Bryson Lyness.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, at Wesley Memorial UMC with Reverend Clair Sauer officiating. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
