David Holcombe
David Michael Holcomb, 65, of Hixson, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, David was a pharmaceutical rep for Boehringer Ingelheim for the past 39 years.
He was a member of East Chattanooga Church of God for the past 55 years where he played the trumpet in the church band and had served in various church positions.
He was also a member of Metro Musicians.
David was preceded in death by his first wife, Beckie Holcomb and his mother, Barbara Holcomb.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Raymer Holcomb; sons, Matthew (Jericka) Holcomb, Chattanooga; Benjie (Terrah) Holcomb, granddaughter, Rebekah Tenlee Holcomb; father, Cheyne Holcomb; brother, Tim (Pat) Holcomb, all of Chattanooga; step children, Katie Scarborough, Lookout Mtn. GA, and Jordan Scarborough, Dallas, GA; nephews, Noah (Nikki) Holcomb, Jonathan (Ashlee) Sharp; niece, Cathy Smith; mother-in-law, Johnnie Raymer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom (Stella) Raymer, Buster (Martha) Raymer, Cindy (Philip) Sharp.
A Celebration of Life for David will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. at The Crossing Church, 7501 Standifer Gap with Reverend Travis Ballinger and Reverend Phil Evaul officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to East Chattanooga Church of God Building Fund, 4872 Jersey Pike, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.
