Ellen Jones
Ellen Johnson Jones, 80, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, in a local health care facility.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and former owner of Mrs. Jones Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nehemiah Jones; sons, Charles Jones and Darrel (Boo) Jones.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Lisa) Jones, Sr., Clabon Johnson, Jr.; daughter, Gloria Pickens; brother, Clabon Johnson, Sr.; sister, Lelia Smalls; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 12:30 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne L. Johnson as eulogist.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
