Norman Lee Idema, 76, of Pikeville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. 

Norm was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Idema; parents Lambert and Fanny Dryer Idema; and daughter, Angela Idema.

He was of the Baptist faith and attended the West End Church of God. Norm worked in administration at Taft Youth Center for 32 years. 

He is survived by his children, Randall Idema, Pikeville and Kendall (Marianne) Idema, Crossville, Michelle (Terry) Highsmith, Murfreesboro; brothers, Ken (Louise) Idema and Walt (Pat) Idema; sisters, Linda (Dick) DeVoss, Andrea Kragt and Lorraine (Jerome) Brooks; grandchildren, Zaine, Cami, Jack, Mitchell (Stephanie) Highsmith, Michael, Mallory and Madison Highsmith; and several nieces, nephews and friends. 

A Celebration of Norm’s Life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Lee officiating. Burial will be in Boynton Cemetery.

The friends will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.
