James McReynolds
James McReynolds, 74, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Erlanger Medical Center.
He was born February 27, 1942 in Whitehall, Al. He was employed as a Supervisor at R.L. Stowe Industries for 39½ years before retiring.
James was a man who loved a simple life. He asked for very little but gave much to others. His greatest passion was working with his hands and building things in and around the house. He liked working on his cars and washing his white truck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. David and Mary McReynolds; his sister, Sadie Wallace; his brothers, Aaron and David McReynolds, and step son, Jeffrey Peters.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Brenda McReynolds; daughters, Karen and Marcy McReynolds; sons, James, Michael and James McReynolds; brothers, Jesse (Marie) McReynolds, Joe(Diane) McReynolds, George (Patricia) McReynolds and Edward McReynolds; sisters, Rosemary Johnson and Ada Scott; grandchildren, Miles and Mackenzie Thomas, Corey and Tyquis Peters, Kobe Rogers, Kameron Peters, Symone McReynolds, Ramdy Thomson, Nicey Wilson, and Jazmine Kinard; great-grandchildren, Syeorey and Corey Peters; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, in the chapel with Pastor Richard Smith, officiating, and Elder Karen McReynolds as eulogist. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday, March 30, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
