Wrestling Mocs To Hold Blue-Gold Match At Chamberlain Field

  • Tuesday, October 25, 2016
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga wrestling team hosts its annual Blue-Gold match this week on historic Chamberlain Field.  The Mocs take the mat at 6:30 p.m. (E.D.T.) on Thursday, October 27th, for the season-opening intrasquad scrimmage.

"We are excited to try something new for the Blue-Gold match," stated head coach Heath Eslinger.  "Chamberlain Field is right in the middle of campus and will provide a fun and unique venue for our guys to compete.  We are all looking forward to it and hope for a big crowd."

Parking for the event is available in the same areas as a normal match at Maclellan Gym, including the 5th Street Garage and the Maclellan Lot.
This is a FREE event and fans are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to enjoy a fun evening of outdoor wrestling.

The Mocs begin the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 5, against Southeastern at 11:00 a.m. in Maclellan Gym.  Former Moc Javier Maldonado brings his Fire squad back to UTC for the second year in a row.

Season tickets are on sale now on GoMocs.com and include the prestigious Southern Scuffle.  The Mocs other home dates are the Candlelight Dinner Match against VMI on Nov. 10, Virginia (Dec. 4), Campbell (Jan. 8), Davidson (Jan. 28) and The Citadel (Feb. 12).
