Sylvia Phillips, beloved of God, 75, died peacefully at her home in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Monday, October 24, 2016.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Shull; her father, Charles Gooden; her grandmother, Elizabeth Wilkes; her aunt and uncle, Irene and George Koch; her sisters-in-law, Avene Frist and Quanita Rothberger; and her brother-in-law, Dillard Phillips.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Joe Phillips; her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Dan Oglesby; her stepson and daughter-in-law, Brent and Kelly Phillips; her granddaughters, Mollie Mitchell, Madelyn Phillips, and Gabrielle Phillips; her great-grandson, Liam Oglesby; her sister-in-law, BJ Tyrell; and her brother-in-law, Harley Phillips.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 3-6 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the Funeral Home Chapel.
