A 22-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 1800 block of Wilcox Boulevard early Tuesday morning.
Just after midnight, Chattanooga Police responded to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police located Jakobi Buthelezi Johnson suffering from a very minor, single gunshot wound.
Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
The victim told investigators he was walking with another man when he was shot by a passenger in a passing car. The suspect car was described as a blue Chevrolet Impala.
Police said the victim and witness, Tyree T. Corley, are validated gang members.
Johnson and Corley were transported to jail due to outstanding warrants.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau are following all actionable leads in the case.
