Hamilton Place Mall Hosts 18th Annual Santa Arrival Parade Nov. 5

As a festive kick-off to the 2016 holiday season, Hamilton Place will once again host the 18th Annual Santa Arrival Parade on Saturday, Nov. 5, beginning at 11 a.m.

Line-up will start at 9:30 a.m. in the Sears parking lot and will circle the mall, ending near the Food Court entrance where children can escort Santa to his holiday home for photo opportunities.

Parade float registrations are being accepted through Monday, November 1, 2016. The registration fee is $25 per float or participating organization with all proceeds going to the United Way. Registration is free to schools. Floats and groups are not considered officially registered until registration fee has been paid.   1. FLOATS the maximum height for clearance in the parade route is 12 feet, 6 inches.
  2. MARCHING UNITS should only consist of group being represented.
  3. VEHICLES allowed in the line-up area are for parade only. Personal vehicles will not be allowed. Plan to drop off parade participants at line-up entrance between JCPenney and Sears.
  4. CHILDREN participating in the parade must be supervised before, during and after the parade.
  5. COMMERCIAL ENTRIES are limited to one entry and must be decorated in the spirit of the festivities.

Pre-judging begins at the starting line at 11:00am. Judging continues as the parade passes the Judges Stand, located at Bar Louie. Winners will be announced the Monday following the parade, and winners will receive Gift Cards.

Groups will be judged in the following categories:

  • Best Marching Group
  • Most Holiday Spirit
  • Best Performance by dance/cheer group
  • Outstanding Commercial Entry
  • Best of Parade
