Four executives with the Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga were recognized at the Tennessee Hospital Association’s (THA) annual Awards of Excellence ceremonies held last week in Nashville.
Winning the Executive Nurse of Distinction Award was Jan Keys, DNP, RN, FACHE, senior vice-president and chief nursing officer of the Erlanger Health System. Dr.
Keys was honored for being a driving force in transforming the nursing culture at Erlanger.
Erlanger’s Chief Diversity Officer Elizabeth Appling, MBA, won the Diversity Champion Award during the October conference and was recognized as the “best of the best in championing diversity and inclusion at Erlanger.”
Recognized at the American College of Health Executives (ACHE) awards ceremony on Friday were Stephanie Boynton and Tanner Goodrich.
Ms. Boynton, who serves as administrator of Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital and County Nursing Home in Pikeville, Tenn., was named Rural Hospital Executive of the Year.
Mr.Goodrich, Erlanger Vice-President of Operations, won the Early Careerist Award by the ACHE and was recognized for his “insight on market growth and bottom line performance” during ACHE’s Awards of Excellence program.
The four Erlanger executives were among 24 individuals from across the state honored at THA’s annual meeting. THA serves as an advocate for hospitals, health systems and other healthcare organizations in Tennessee.
