Charles W. “Charlie” Gwyn was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame, in ceremonies on Saturday, at the Strand Theater in Marietta.

Mr. Gwyn was a founding partner in LaFayette's radio station and served as president and general manager from 1955 until his death in 1982.

The Hall of Fame Legacy Award was presented along with a multi-media montage of Mr. Gwyn's life and career in service to the community.

The honor was accepted by his children, Barry, Sandra and Rich.
