Willie Williams, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 in a local hospital.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was a member of New Philadelphia Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

 He was preceded in death by his mother, Melissa Patterson; father, Walter Williams; daughters, Landra Collins and Gina Williams; four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his devoted companion, Elizabeth Hendricks; sons, Jeron Williams of Chattanooga; Keenan, Kelvin, and Randall Williams; and daughters, Marlena Williams and Sherrie Alexander, all of Memphis; goddaughter, Regina Lattimore; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He will lie in state Thursday, October 20, 2016 after 1 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, October 21, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at New Philadelphia Baptist Church with Evangelist Brenda Millsaps as the eulogist. 

Burial is at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
