Elliott Davis Decosimo announces the firm was ranked third in the nation for best overall internship by Vault.com, a source of ratings and insights for students and professionals. This is the fourth consecutive year Elliott Davis Decosimo ranked among the top four best overall internship programs in the nation.
Vault.com surveyed 8,500 interns about their internship programs to determine an overall score for their experience. The internship experience was rated in five different categories including quality of life, compensation and benefits, interview process, career development and full-time employment prospects. These ratings were then averaged to determine an overall score from 1 to 10 for each program. Elliott Davis Decosimo received a score of 9.73, up from 9.62 in 2016.
The Elliott Davis Decosimo seven week summer internship program, Envision, is designed to give students an opportunity to explore potential career paths, build relationships throughout the firm and obtain valuable work experience in public accounting. The program is built around the Elliott Davis Decosimo mission of "making a positive impact on our clients, our people and our communities". During the program, students gain experience working on client engagements, participate in community service projects and are involved in leadership development activities. The Envision class of 2015, 86 students, completed 870 hours of community service and more than 10,000 hours of client service work.
Additional development programs at Elliott Davis Decosimo include Encompass, a student leadership program for undergraduate students, and Engage, an entry-level onboarding experience for first year staff.
