American Red Cross To Honor Local Heroes At CHI Memorial Heroes Luncheon

Commissioner Randy Boyd Will Be Keynote Speaker

Each year, the American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee honors individuals and groups for acts of great bravery, dedication and service to the community at the Heroes Luncheon, sharing the mission of the American Red Cross and raising the financial funding resources necessary to provide their core humanitarian services.  

The CHI Memorial 9th Annual Heroes Luncheon will be held Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Chattanoogan Hotel. 

This year, five individuals will be honored in four categories for their service to the community:
Jeffery Dews, Youth Hero
Officer Aaron Williams, First Responder Hero
Officer Zack Crawford, First Responder Hero
Capt. Mickey McCamish, Military Hero
Randy Boyd, Humanitarian Hero 

Commissioner Randy Boyd will be this year’s keynote speaker.  Commissioner Boyd serves as the commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Economics and Community Development, which enriches the business and industries within the state of Tennessee. In addition, he is on the Board of several non-profit organizations, and serves as chairman of the Governor’s Workforce Sub-Cabinet, Rural Taskforce, Launch Tennessee, and the Aviation Task force.
