City Of Chattanooga Hosts Purchasing Fair To Connect Businesses And Buyers

  • Tuesday, October 18, 2016

To expand the diversity and amount of suppliers doing business with the City of Chattanooga, the Purchasing Department is hosting a fair to share how companies can bid for contracts, which blanket contracts are coming up, and what projects major departments have planned for the year ahead.

The fair will be held on Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Development Resource Center, 1250 Market St.

“Our City is stronger when businesses of all backgrounds and sizes can contribute to our local economy. The Purchasing Fair is a chance for new businesses -- and those who haven’t even considered pursuing a government contract before -- to see that it’s possible and meet the right representatives to help them complete the process,” said James McKissic, director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Any interested vendor or business is encouraged to attend and learn about how to do business with the City. The Purchasing Fair is free and open to the public.
