Winell Stevens, age 87, of West Brow, GA passed away Thursday October 13, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. She was a lifelong member of Scenicland Holiness Church. MeMaw enjoyed participating in the church lunchroom activities and could always be found at her sewing machine or greeting people at her many yard sales.
Ms. Stevens was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Jackie Stevens; brothers L.D. Poff, J.W. Poff and Buddy Poff.
Surviving are daughter Trudy Blackmon of Lookout Mountain, GA; daughter Elaine (Ken) Jenkins of Flatrock, AL; son Donnie (Charlotte) Stevens of Lookout Mountain, GA; son Rickie (Linda) Stevens of Lookout Mountain, GA; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and her church family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Becky Hicks, Kelly Dunn and Mary Earley of Tapestry Hospice, GA for the loving care they provided for our mother.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 16 in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
