Annie Lee Stone, 79, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the local hospital.

Annie was born June 14, 1936 in Ellijay, GA, to the late James and Elsie Mulkey; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Lee Stone; daughters, Jessie Lee Stone and Carolyn Parker; granddaughter, Lora Pearce; and brother, Charles Mulkey.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Valerie Stone; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Betty Mulkey, Leeroy and Deborah Mulkey of Dalton, GA and Shirley Mulkey of Resaca, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Birdie and Bill Hayes, Geneva and Carl Pace of Dalton, GA; great-grandchildren, Zayan Stone, Isaac Stone, Emerald Pearce and Annastasia Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Lee Stone will be held Sunday, Sept. 6 at 3 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Marvin Brock officiating. Interment will be in the New Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5.

Ponders Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
