Vinson, John Stephen "Steve" (Jasper)

John Stephen “Steve” Vinson, 65, of Jasper, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015.

He had worked as a coal miner and was a veteran of the U S Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Moore Vinson; and sister, Charlsie Vinson Rowland.

Steve is survived by his sons, Virgil McNeece, Troy Vinson and Brain Vinson; daughter, Sandy Cash; brothers, Larry (Marion) Vinson, Bill (Dollie) Vinson and Johnny (Susan) Roberson; sisters, Emma Pemberton and Barbara Chambers; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-6 p.m. CDT on Friday, Sept. 4, with services to follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Arron Cagle officiating.

The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard will provide full military honors after the service.

Tate Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
