Residents at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford celebrated the anniversary of when Hawaii was declared a state on August 21, 1959 by throwing a Hawaiian luau party at the assisted living community.

Residents enjoyed live music, dancing and a hula hoop contest.   In between the hula dancing, coconut cookies and tropical punch, some gathered to take a quick selfie with the new Selfie Stick.
