GDOL To Help Lake Winnepesaukah Hire Workers Next Week In Rossville

The Georgia Department of Labor  will help Lake Winnepesaukah recruit more than 25 part-time employees to fill weekend jobs at the amusement park in Rossville. After Aug. 7, the park will be open only on weekends until Oct. 31, when it will close for the season.

The recruitment will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 2-7 p.m. in the amusement park located at 1730 Lakeview Dr.

The company is hiring a full-time maintenance technician and several part-time cooks, grounds keepers/landscapers, amusement park workers and janitors.

The maintenance technician must be at least 18 years old and have at least one year of experience working in repair and maintenance of motors and hydraulics.
The cooks must be at least 16 years old, have a work permit and at least one year of experience working in a fast food establishment. The grounds keepers/landscapers must be at least 16 years old, have a work permit, be familiar with the proper care of plants and have at least three months of experience caring for them. While no experience is required for the amusement park workers and janitors, they must be at least 16 years old and have a work permit.

Salaries depend on the job and experience.
