Iver Antonio Diaz, 18, was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly assaulted another teenager in an attempt to extort him for drug money.

According to the police report, the victim told authorities that the defendant and another individual, Dillon Dowler, drove over to the victim’s home with the intent to threaten him.

He said that Diaz grabbed him by the neck and forced him to the ground before pushing himself into the home and continuing the assault.

The victim’s girlfriend said that Dowler attempted to hit her. Neither was injured and the two suspects fled the scene when a neighbor came to scare them off. They left tire tracks in the front yard.

Later in the day, an officer spoke to Dowler who admitted he had driven with the defendant to “scare” the victim.

He also admitted that he knew of Diaz's intention to assault the victim and further admitted to striking him during the incident.
