Grandson Of State Rep. JoAnne Favors Dies In Catoosa County Car Crash

The 33-year-old grandson of Rep. JoAnne Favors died in a car crash in Catoosa County on Sunday morning.

Jimmy Hood was driving a Ford Explorer when the vehicle went out of control on a wet road.

He was taken to Erlanger Hospital.
 
The victim is the son of Rev. Dr. Marva Lee. His wife is Tabitha Hood.

Speaker Beth Harwell released the following statement: "The death of Jimmy Hood is absolutely tragic. He was taken from this world far too soon, and my heart breaks for his loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with Rep. Favors and the entire family during this difficult time."
