Robert W. Bowden, Sr., 91, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, August 2, 2015.
Bob was a pilot in WWII, retired from L&N Railroad after 43 years and was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester B. (Irene Heiner) Bowden; his step-mother, Annita Wright Bowden; and his brother, Lester B. Bowden, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula Bowden Wilson; son, Robert W. Bowden, Jr.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6 at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
