All vehicle emissions testing centers in Hamilton County will close on Saturday, Sept. 5 and Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of Labor Day. All stations will resume testing on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at their regular scheduled hours.
“Planning ahead helps keep waiting to a minimum,” said Stephen Foster, program manager for the Tennessee vehicle inspection program administered by Envirotest Systems. “It’s a good idea to take vehicles mid-week when testing volume is usually lighter and to avoid testing in the final days of the month.”
Normal hours of operation and testing center locations for Hamilton County are:
· 5206 Austin Road in Hixson and 720 Eastgate Loop in Chattanooga are open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
and Saturday from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Closed Sunday and Monday.
· 1620 Riverfront Pkwy. and 7460 Bonnyshire Dr. in Chattanooga are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
