Thomas Howard Ables, 70, died after a tractor accident on Tuesday, August 25, 2015.

Tom was born and raised in Daisy, Tennessee. He worked at DuPont for several years and retired from Hamilton County School system. He was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle where he served as a Deacon and head usher. He was Past Master at Daisy Masonic Lodge #706 F&AM. He was an avid fan of the Tennessee Lady Vols. 

Tom loved the Lord and his family. He bush hogged for many people and did special work for friends, family, and neighbors. He was respected and loved by everyone who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Dorothy Ables; brother, Johnny Ables; sister, Betty Hobson; nieces, Laura Ables and Lynn Ables. 

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Cathy Sunderland Ables; daughters, Brandy Green, Dana Leffew; grandsons, Dakota Ables, Kaden Green, Keith Leffew, Jayden Ables; brothers, Bob (Jessie) Ables, Pete Ables, Jim (Jackie) Ables, Buck (Nancy) Ables, and Jerry (Doris) Ables. 

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Brooks Green and Reverend David Stancil officiating followed by a Masonic Service by the Daisy Masonic Lodge #706 F&AM. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, at the funeral home.
