Morning Pointe Celebrates National Radio Day

  • Friday, August 21, 2015

It was in the 1920's when the first broadcast stations began airing programs.  Thursday marked the anniversary of the first radio broadcast.  National Radio Day celebrates this great invention and residents of Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford wanted to celebrate with some local radio personalities.

With cookies and cupcakes in hand, residents made their way to Clear Channel radio, home of many local stations, one of them being US 101 country radio.  Residents were fortunate enough to meet two of their early morning personalities, Ken and Kelley.

"The residents were excited to help them celebrate and leave them with treats for all," officials said.
