Aug. 21

Maynardville – Enjoy the rich musical heritage of East Tennessee during the 34th Annual Big Ridge Bluegrass Festival 4 p.m. at Big Ridge State Park.

Bristol – Be there for the arrival of The Big Idaho Potato to celebrate the 50th state that has visited the museum 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum.

Aug. 21-30

Memphis – The Fall Hunting Classic will take place with free seminars with nationally-recognized professional hunters, free Hunting University and more at the Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid.

Aug. 22

Knoxville – BLANKfest, a festival celebrating Knoxville’s entertainment culture, will feature music with headliners The Black Cadillacs, David Mayfield Parade, and Lilly Hiatt and more 5 p.m. in Market Square.  

Aug. 23

Jonesborough – Main Street Brews & Tunes continues with music by David Francisco and beer selections by Yee-Haw Brewing 3 p.m. on the Plaza outside of the International Storytelling Center.

Aug. 25

Memphis – An all veggie and fruit extravaganza will take place during the Ten Til Ten Dinner No. 4 Summer’s Bounty Dinner 6 p.m. at the Majestic Grille.

Aug. 26

Nashville – Children 18 months to 5 years old can learn about insects, animals and take a zoo hike during the Zoo Tots six-week series at the Nashville Zoo.

Aug. 27

Maryville – The Outdoor Sisters and Ryan Worden will present Native American songs as part of Hot Summer Nights Concert Series 7 p.m. at the Blount County Public Library.

Aug. 28

Memphis – Watch the classic Gone with the Wind 7 p.m. as part of the 2015 Summer Movie Series at The Orpheum Theatre.

Townsend – Mountain Magic: Native American Music & Cultural Festival will feature concerts, demonstrations, classes, concessions, Native American art and jewelry and more 2-10 p.m. at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center.

Union City – The new STEM Landing Exhibit and the Obion County Gallery opens to the public at Discovery Park of America.

Nashville – The rock and roll, garage rock and alt-country sound of Those Darlins will engulf the audience 6-9 p.m. in the Turner Courtyard at Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

Aug. 28-29

Memphis – Throttle Fest will come with cars and bikes of all makes and models, drag racing and more at Memphis International Raceway.

Aug 28-30

Jackson – African Street Festival – This event promotes African culture awareness with entertainment, workshops, educational seminars and more.

Aug. 28-Sept. 7

Shelbyville – The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration is the show of Tennessee’s native breed that will take place with the division champions crowned at the historic Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration Grounds.

Aug. 29

Nashville – Listen in on the panel Go, Cat, Go: Sam Phillips in the Studio 11 a.m. at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Jackson – The Jackson Symphony's 37th Starlight Symphony will be performed 6:45 p.m. on the grounds of First Presbyterian Church.

Franklin – Seriously Seersucker is a fundraising event that gives a nod to the Southern summer lifestyle, hosted by New York Times bestselling author Robert Hicks beginning 6 p.m. on the lawn of O’More College of Design.

Aug. 30

Franklin – Rock out to the Eagles Tribute Band 7 Bridges Band as part of the Sunset Concert Series 6-8 p.m. at Carnton Plantation.

Nashville – Get ready for hockey season during the Nashville Predators Day filled with games, meet-and-greets and activities free with zoo admission at Nashville Zoo.

Knoxville – The Traveling Bazaar will feature more than 30 vendors with antiques and art, door prizes, a silent auction and more 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bearden Banquet Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Aug. 31

Memphis – The Memphis Grizzlies and Memphis Redbirds team up for Grit & Grind featuring a silent auction, a special appearance by Grizzlies guard Tony Allen and more at AutoZone Park.
