Landfried, Dorothy Jeanne

Dorothy Jeanne Landfried, 87, of Hixson, Tennessee, died on Friday, July 31, 2015, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.  

She was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Cross Hands, Wales to the late Harry and Dorothy Culliford.

She was employed with Ohio Edison for several years. Jeanne was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and served on Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Landfried;

She is survived by her son, Eric (Tonya) Landfried; grandchildren, Logan and Abby Landfried, all of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; sisters, Molly (Charles) Francis, Silver Spring, Md., and Dulcie Moore, Sparta, Ga.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, and 12-1 p.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A celebration of life service for Jeanne will follow at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Jeanne’s name to the American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee, 4115 South Access Road, Chattanooga, TN 37406 or www.redcross.org/tn/chattanooga. 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
