Robert Dunn
Robert “R.L.” Dunn, Sr., 77, of Rossville, died on Monday, July 6, 2015 at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and North Georgia where he was employed at Byrd’s Auto Alignment for 27 years. Mr. Dunn was a member of the Anchor of Hope Baptist Church and the Safe Haven Sunday School Class, the Tompkins Masonic Lodge #466 F&AM, Summerville Order of The Eastern Star #434, and an active member of the Rossville Senior Citizens.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Dunn Prentice; son, Corky Dunn; parents, Robert and Louise Dunn; sister, Dot Leonard; and brothers, Bobby and Skillet Dunn.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Steele Dunn; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Ricky Kittle of Ringgold; son, Steve Dunn of Rossville; grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Hysinger of Ringgold, Heather (Eric) Warren of Rock Spring, and Sherick Selvidge of Ringgold; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Tahai, Alli, Gabe, Jacob, Gracie, and Laranda; brothers, Jimmy Dunn and Bill Dunn; sister, Charlotte Wolfe.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 9, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Bryan Haney officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens with the Safe Haven Sunday School serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8, from 1-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
