William Duncan, 44, Arrested On Aggravated Assualt After Monday Night Stabbing

Sheriff Eric Watson announced the arrest of a Bradley County man on one count of aggravated assault after a Monday night stabbing on 27th Street, SE.  

William Edward Duncan, Jr., 44, of Shadowood Drive was taken into custody by deputies with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office for the alleged assault on Edmond James.  

James sustained a stab wound to the upper body in the neck area.  After interviewing numerous witnesses, members of the CID charged Duncan with cutting James with a knife during an altercation. James was transported to Erlanger Medical Center, while Duncan was booked into the Bradley County Jail.  

An investigation into the incident continues.  

Sheriff Watson praised the immediate cooperation between patrol officers and CID during the overnight investigation.
