Applications Now Being Accepted For 2015-2016 Adult Leadership Walker County Class

The Walker County Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Adult Leadership Walker County Class. This program is a collaborative effort between Chamber staff, community leaders and chamber members. It provides participants the opportunity to both learn and develop the skills necessary to be a leader in the community. Participants are given an overview of city and county operations, allowed to tour local tourist attractions and businesses, and they are equipped with vital information about government, education, social services and economic development.
 
The program takes place from September, 2015 until May, 2016; beginning with an bonding retreat and ending with a graduation celebration.
Most of the sessions will take place the second Tuesday of each month from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.; however, a few of the meetings will be on different days.  

 
Members are required to attend all functions associated with the program and must receive approval from their company’s CEO before an application will be considered. Tuition for the program is $350 for chamber members and $400 for non-chamber members.  All fees must be paid in full before beginning of the program.

Meet state legislators, tour the capitol, and hear from various state departments.

Tour local industries and learn more about industries and Economic Development in the county.

Visit Lookout Mountain, Tuesday, April 12, 2016
Explore the history and importance of Lookout Mountain while visiting hidden gems.

Receive your plaque during the Leadership Alumni Dinner while hearing from a wonderful keynote speaker. Invite your friends, family and co-workers.

Fees/Admission: Chamber Member $350
Non-Chamber Member $400

All fees must be paid in full (before beginning of the program, by the participant, the participant's employer or a combination of the two.)
