Bertha Marie Taylor, 82, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by her children on Sunday, July 26, 2015.
She was born on March 12, 1933 to the late Henry and Theresa Taylor. Bertha was a lifelong resident of the area and retired from Schering Plough.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Taylor; one son, Steve Taylor; brother, Lester Taylor; and sister, Hazel Cross.
She is survived by her five children, Mary Ann (Larry) Owens, Wanda (Steve) Green, Carol (Barry) Gray, Kenneth (Juanita) Mikel and Dewayne (Betty) Mikel; daughter-in-law, April Taylor; sister, Dorothy Hughes; brother, Charles Taylor; 13 grandchildren, Michael Owens, Brian Owens, Krista Willey, Michael Mikel, Natoshia Bunger, Kayla Mikel, Misty deLamare, Amy Gant, Amber Taylor, Jessica Taylor, Wesley Taylor, Abbey Taylor and Dallas Taylor; 14 great-grandchildren, Mikaela Owens, Matthew Owens, Robbie Walker, Corina Walker, Sophia Willey, Jasmin Willey, Jonah Bunger, Owen Bunger, Catherine deLamare, Malakai Cummins, Issak Cummins, Dakota Buckner, David Buckner and Destiny Pendergrass; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Rev. Ronnie Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Michael Owens, Brian Owens, Barry Gray, Jared Cummins, Dewayne Mikel and Kenneth Mikel serving as pallbearers.
