Boykin, Errol Tyrone

Retired MSGT Errol Tyrone Boykin, 74, died on July 23, 2015 in Denver, Colorado.

He was a graduate of Howard High School class of 1958.

After attending Tuskegee Institute for two years, Errol enlisted in the United States Air Force.  He was stationed throughout the United States and all over the world, including England, Turkey, and Japan.  He retired as a MSGT after a 20-year career.  He served as deputy sheriff for the city and county of Denver, retiring after 10 years. 

Errol was a member of Park Hill United Methodist Church and an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife, Othella Walker-Boykin; son, Errol Kenton Boykin; daughter, Adrienne Nichelle Boykin; stepson, Bernard; stepdaughter, Regina; sister, Wilma Boykin LeSure; brother-in-law, Eddie LeSure; sisters-in-law, Florence Williams, Reiko Williams, and Irene Williams; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Park Hill United Methodist Church, 5209 Montview Blvd., Denver.

Arrangements are entrusted to Caldwell-Kirk Mortuary of Denver.
