Elmer Rhoden
Elmer Eugene Rhoden, 77, of Georgetown, Tennessee, died on July 26, 2015 in his home.
He was born July 31, 1937 in Bradenton, Fla. He is the son of the late William and Mable Rhoden.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Two Brothers James Rhoden, Oscar Rhoden, one grandson, Timothy Hargis.
He is survived by his faithful wife of 56 years Beatrice Rhoden, one son, Leroy (Brenda) Rhoden, of Cleveland, TN and their children, Tiffany (Dustin) Swafford Cleveland, TN – Lorraine (Rain) Sherlin Bradenton, Fla. – Windell (Chellie) Rhoden, Cleveland, TN, great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mckayla, Sarah Grace Swafford – Leah Sherlin – Parker Rhoden, a daughter, Cheryl Aleman (companion David French) of Cleveland, TN., her children, Nathan Hanks of Bradenton, Fl. – Cyle Aleman, Caleb Aleman of Cleveland, TN., great-grandchildren - Colton & Liam Hanks, another daughter, Yolanda (Tommy) Hargis of Georgetown, TN, their children, Sonia (Joseph) Pirkle of Cleveland, TN Spc. Alstin Hargis of Fort Hood, Texas Scott Robinson (Companion Diana Gilbert) of Charleston, TN, great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Jordyn, Carter Hargis – Maxwell Pirkle, Daniel Robinson, Koty Fulton, two foster sons, Joe (Jonda) Holmes from VA and Thomas Powell of Georgetown, TN. He is also survived by two sisters, Barbara (Richard) Dossey of Okeechobee, Fla. Mary Alice Suggs of Palmetto, Fla., and one brother, Charles (Donna) Rhoden of Ten Mile, TN.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, from 6-8 p.m. at the River of Life Holiness Church located at 167 Oak Grove Road SE in Cleveland, TN 37311.
A celebration of life service is planned for Wednesday, July 29, at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at his family home, The Rhoden Family Cemetery, 1239 Mt. Zion Road NW Georgetown, Tn. 37336.
