Harold G. Jones, also known as “Buddy” or “Jonesie” 74, of Hixson, Tennessee, died on Monday, July 27, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Sale Creek, and was an outstanding basketball and baseball player. He was the owner of Tennessee Trophy & Awards in Hixson. Mr. Jones was of the Baptist faith. He was a huge UT fan and loved his girls. 

He is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Jones, Becky Jones-Murphy and Kandy Jones; three granddaughters, Maurica Palacio, Kayce Murphy and Jennifer Murphy (Berry); four great-grandchildren, Matthew Murphy, Kallie Murphy, Ava Berry, Kayden Murphy and a great-grandson due in October. 

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Hunsucker officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. 

His family requests memorial donations to Bethel Bible Village at www.bethelbiblevillage.org or to your favorite charity in his memory.
