Collegedale Residents Pay Tribute To Fallen Heroes With Nightly Vigil

  • Monday, July 27, 2015
A group of Collegedale residents has stood on the I-75 overpass at Volkswagen Drive every night since the evening following the July 16 shootings that claimed the lives of five military service members here in Chattanooga.

According to the group their vigil will end tomorrow evening after the final victim is laid to rest. However, they say they will return each year on the anniversary of the event to remind the nation of the heroism of the five who died that day.
