Saying They're Christian Doesn't Make It So

As a former U.S. Airman in the Strategic Air Command, and a lifelong Christian, I am disgusted but not surprised at the greed and vitriol spewed out by so many "leading voices" within our Christian faith.   The clowns from the Westboro Baptist Church do not in any way convey Baptist beliefs and practices, much less Christian values, as we try to honor our recently slain servicemen here in Chattanooga. They only serve to undermine real Christians in the eyes of unbelievers.

The other vocal and destructive group of those that disgrace our Lord's message within "The Great Commission" are the T.V. money grubbers and parasites we can see each day as we turn on the Trinity Network.  They originate from the PTL network identified as "Praise The Lord". I have always referred to them as the PTL, or "Pass The Loot" crowd.  I challenge you to look up the net worth and background of many, if not most of them, and you will be sickened by the array of Rolls- Royces, Bentleys, jet airplanes, massive personal real estate holdings, multi-million dollar estates, and even heterosexual and yes homosexual flings in their record. Satan has no better allies than this group of self righteous phonies.

Never fear, however, God says He will deal with them all at the day of judgement.  They will say (as is recorded in the book of Revelation) "haven't I done great and mighty things, and even cast out demons in thy name," and He will look into "The Book" and say "depart from me ye cursed I never knew you."

We are not suppose to convey anything but love to others as Christians, but I am still human enough to say "forgive me Lord, but would you 'sock it to them' now while I can enjoy it. I'll ask forgiveness for my human feelings later."
